Course : Group Dynamics & Team Building

The modules below represent a day’s training or two hours of training on Group Dynamics & Team Building and can be delivered in a classroom setting, online, or as a blended solution.

In organizational development, group dynamics refers to the understanding of behaviour of people in groups that are trying to solve a problem or making a decision to achieve the overall objectives of the organization. Group dynamics play a significant role within any organization, culture, or unit. The important thing to remember with any of these structures is that they are made up of people, people with different ideas, motivations, background, and sometimes different agendas.A good manager can act as a facilitator and assist the group in accompanying its objectives and arrive at correct decisions.

Building a team can be both a challenging and productive experience when a leader has the skills to capitalize on the strengths each person brings to the team. Different generations provide diversity and bring a unique mindset, work style, and communication style. This workshop is for all facilitators who wish to work explicitly with ‘Group Dynamics & Team Building’ whether the purpose is developmental, business-related, educational, community-building, problem solving or restorative.

Typically, people who attend are:

•Team Leaders, Managers or anyone who gets to lead a team.
•Managers, directors, and other leaders in any area of an organization (sales, operations, etc.) who want to hire and on-board employees to build a power team that maximizes results.
•Working as a consultant, change agent, trainer to a client organisation
•Working within an organisation as a change agent, group/team leader, manager or project manager •In chairing roles at meetings with developmental purpose (be that business, charity or education)
•Occasionally called upon to facilitate groups, meetings and teams
•Embarking upon a career in facilitation
